With the #4 team comes our first state champion. Marine City would finish the regular season 8-1 on the backs of 1,000 yard rushers Tait Sapienza and Jarret Mathision. Alex Merchant would throw for over 2,000 yards, the 1st since the Mariners 2007 championship team and lead Marine City to the 2013 D-4 championship.
